Jubilant June, HIIT Pilates, Montagu Cares says “Thanks”, Hike on Sunday June 13th and Howzit…

And here we are in Jubilant June… I celebrate June 21st, our Winter Solstice, with such joy, knowing that each day forward gets a little longer… and we get a little closer to Summer! Don’t get me wrong, I love our seasons – but I really am not a fan of these dark mornings, and early dark evenings… Anyhoo…

Speaking of Summer… Let’s not lose the plot on our fitness regimes – On these cold and dark evenings, we justifiably need to indulge in some warm comfort food – So why not join a HIIT Pilates Class to help counterbalance the extra intake? Tuesday mornings at 8, and now Friday mornings at 7. All the principles of Pilates still apply, but we throw in a few – or maybe more – Intervals of High Intensity exercises – Lunges, squats, burpees – everyone’s favorite, and stuff like that! I am inviting you all to come and join in on a class as my guest, just to try it out – you might like it! Don’t all jump at once – I will need to spread you out – just send me a whatsapp, and I will fit you into the first open slot!

Calling on all you Happy Hikers… Cape Point is Calling. I have had 2 glorious hikes at Cape Point in the last month and I really would love to share the experience with you. These hikes that I invite you to will not include any exposure or climbing and will take the pace of our slowest walker… They are hikes to enjoy the beauty that Cape Town has to offer, to catch up on some chit chat, and of course to get some delicious outdoor exercise.

WHEN: Sunday June 13th, 830am (Sharp!!)
WHERE: Cape Point Nature Reserve – Meeting at the ‘Visitors Center’ this is about a 10 minute drive from the main gate
WHAT TO BRING: Water, snacks (we will stop for tea break on Buffels Beach), gear for whatever weather, sunscreen, snake bite kit… (Just Kidding! – never needed that!!)
WHY: Because we can
HOW LONG: We will be doing a circular route, from the visitors center, to Kanonkop, to the beach and back…Approx 4 hours gentle strolling with 1 x teabreak all inclusive!
GOOD TO KNOW: A Green Card offers you 12 entrances to Cape Point or Silvermine for R175 (valid for 1 year) Otherwise entrance is R85 if you are a resident. See link.
